RESEARCH AND DESIGN ENGINEER
In this position, you will rapidly develop new tools, algorithms, and techniques for advancing the state of the art in medical image analysis, starting from initial research and concepts to requirements, design, implementation, evaluation, testing, soliciting feedback from users, and deployment in a commercial product.
Requirements:
• |
MS or higher degree in computer science or related field (Ph.D. preferred) |

Background in 3D medical imaging analysis: segmentation, classification, registration, diffeomorphisms, boundary and voxel representations |
• |
0-5 years experience (industry or academic) |
• |
Excellent programming skills: object-oriented design, C++, Boost, data structures, parallel programming concepts, refactoring, design patterns, unit testing |
• |
Knowledge of 3D computer graphics |
• |
Strong mathematical skills: Statistics, numerical methods, optimization, 3D geometry, shape models |
• |
Excellent analytical skills |
• |
Ability to work individually and in a group; self-starter |
• |
Excellent oral and written English communication skills |
• |
Passion for quality and excellent software design |
Additional desired experience/skills:

GPU programming experience (CUDA or OpenCL) |

Grant-writing and independent research |
• |
Experience with modern software development methods |
